Once upon a time, in order for someone to hear the news on radio they had to go over to a friend’s house that had a radio (radios were very rare). In like manner, television too had to be watched in the same manner. Then there came a time when everybody could afford to put a TV (black and white) and radio (sometimes quite heavy and cumbersome) in their own house. As technology made life much simpler for us all, we can now walk around with a radio in our pockets, with some cellular phones having a radio as part of the package. Televisions have also become portable with watch-like TV’s becoming very trendy.

In today’s busy world, not everyone has the time to actually go and listen to a radio and watch a television set. This results in many persons missing the news or sports or whatever other program they may have wanted to watch. For such people, there is the internet which has sites that offer streaming media of programs that have been broadcasted previously.
