A so-called new virus alert is out that you should look out for. Here is what the e-mail warning that you get may say, in essence:

************************************************************

Anyone who uses Internet mail such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL and so on should pay attention to this alert. Both Microsoft and Norton have confirmed that there is a new email virus going around. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail with a Power Point presentation entitled “Life is Beautiful”. If you should happen to receive it, DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY. If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: “It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.” Subsequently, you will LOSE EVERYTHING ON YOUR PC, and the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.

This new virus started to circulate on Saturday, December 9, 2007, in the afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity of the e-mail and thus far the the various anti-virus software are incapable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself ‘life owner’. Please advise all your friends and relatives of this new e-mail virus threat as soon as possible.
