The best thing about Christmas for me is the giving of presents. I love to find just the right thing for loved ones. They make lists too, but I always get them a surprise that isn’t on the list as well. Sometimes, I’ll buy tickets for a show I know someone wants to see. I don’t like to get anyone a gift voucher, if I can help it. It looks like you haven’t made any effort, but I must admit I’ve done it on occasion when I’ve been desperate for ideas. Top ten Christmas Gift Baskets for children and teenagers in general are the latest computer games and ipods, I guess. Technology changes so fast. The classic board games remain however, and you can’t beat the good, old train set or doll’s house.

If you are tired of getting the same gift each year for your wife, husband, boss, or friend, you are probably looking for places to find a unique Christmas gift. These aren’t as hard to come by as you may think, but you will have to put some thought in to it. When I look for a unique Christmas gift for someone special, I have to stop and think about that person, and then start my search from there.

Each person is unique, so if you think of what makes them tick, and what they love to do, finding a unique Christmas Holiday Gift is not as hard as you may think. Many times, it is just a matter of finding something you know they don’t have, and then looking for the unusual. If you know a golfer, but can’t imagine buying them clubs, a unique Christmas gift for that person might be a golf bag in their favorite color that is monogrammed with their initials.

Food is always a welcome gift and I like Belgian, chocolate truffles and English breakfast marmalade that can be found in a chocolate gift basket. Good wine is also a nice treat. That’s about it for a top ten Christmas Gifts list, give or take a gift or two. I really don’t mind what people get me as long as it’s given with love and they’ve kept the receipt!

You might also consider their personal interests when looking for a unique Christmas gift. If you know someone who is really into Elvis, look on eBay for a collector’s item that is in your price range. You might find the cook in your family a book from their favorite chef, and see if you can get it autographed for them. This might not be possible, but some people will autograph stuff if you mail it in and provide a post-paid return envelope or box.

The more commercial Gift Baskets possibilities lack character, and thus meaning. Maybe you are a teacher or a fishing enthusiast. Wouldn’t a teacher love to receive a how-to book on college grants and scholarships, listing resources and solid information he or she could pass on to their students? So no matter who you’re looking to give a thoughtful gift with meaning, just put yourself in their shoes. What would make you feel as though the giver really thought about who you are? That’s what makes a personalized Christmas gift.
